I tried with many stations beyond my normal range and struck out on all
attempts. K3SK was tried on Q65 for a few minutes. KB8VAO on CW and
K8TQK on CW. Nothing heard other than a few meteors. I never did run
into KO4YC. W8ZN said I was the weakest that he has ever heard me. I
must admit that signals on that path were pretty poor. SSB would have
been almost impossible. Still, VE3DS was booming in here and he runs
rather low power, We switched to SSB and had a nice chat. I figured
that things might be good that way, but nothing else was heard.
Of course, the midwest was still swimming in tropo as the high pressure
system is rather stuck there and not moving, just rotating a bit.It
might go on for another two days!! Things in the North were not so hot.
It would be nice to hear some reports on what was worked!!!
