I tried my new transverter out last evening from a nice locationwhich was treeless in FN11XDWhen I got things set up at 6 pm, I noticed quite a bit of noise to the NE and SWWhat could be worse ?There was a tractor bailing hay in a field not to far away.I watched in anticipation and hopefully he completed his project before 7 pmWhich he did = But the noise continued. Then my thought went to line noise. But there wasn't the typical buzzAfter working a few stations with my mighty 20 watts, I tore down when it started darkening. My thoughts led to generator problems. This morning I raised my portable mast and rotated the monster 10 element yagi, seeking the noise issue.Well withing 5 minutes or less the issue was solved.Pinobscot Mountain is ripping my 222 system apart. My S meter on the TS2000X raises to S9 of junk and total RF overload.I'll take a ride this weekend and head north west in FN11 to try and find a farmers fieldFinding a treeless location at a decent elevation is quite a task73Herb K2LNS
