[VHFcontesting] [NEWSVHF] defunct circuit breaker

Hello Jay & Tom,

Well I never used the circuit breaker as a power switch. That is good to
know, but I never use any breaker as a switch.  I switched it only after
it failed wondering if I might clear out some "schmutz" with a few
cycles. All I succeeded in doing was render the breaker inoperative at
all after about five attempts at re setting it.  Looking at it, it is a
very old one and probably one that I did not replace when I swapped out
all the breakers years ago. I found a bag of breakers that had two 30
amp units that appeared unused. Not sure about that, but it did work
when I installed it. Meanwhile, I have another brand new one on the way
from Eaton, and will swap it out when it arrives. Never a dull moment
around here. Last night I did monitor the breaker body temperature and
it stayed very cool.

Thanks for the info.
