EME condx were rather fantastic this afternoon, with W5AFY coming on 222
MHz with a new 222 MHz feed on his medium sized dish. There were a
number of stations there in hopes of working Dan and  a good time was
had by all. WQ5S is on also from Texas with a single yagi aimed on the
horizon. I have worked WQ5S a few times on his rising Moon with good
signals, so we plan to try again on Sunday as the Moon rises across the
USA. His Moon rise is at 19:00 UT. I plan to be on earlier starting
around 18:00 UT when the Moon will be rising  on the East Coast. I'll be
on 222.080 Q65B-60  and on the 2nd sequence looking for contacts. If you
have a single yagi and it is above the trees, you have a good chance of
hearing something. At 19:00 UT when WQ5S gets his Moon rise, it would be
good if there were some stations there making noise so that he might
make another neat contact.  I will be monitoring the HB9Q Chat page for
222 MHz.  It is mid day on Sunday of the weekend, so no reason not to
give it a try. Make your presence known on the HB9Q Chat page and I will
be sure to have a signal there in hopes you might hear something.

KM0T was also active this afternoon from western Iowa with his 2 X yagi
array. I copied him at -11 dB on Q65 which is ungodly loud.  He is
running one of the Larcan 1500 watt amps from the 222 MHz Amplifier
Project. Mike worked a few stations and is happily hearing well after
making a few changes to his system. Others who were QRV included W7JW,
K3SK, W6TCP in addition to W5AFY.  So give 222 MHz a try on Sunday.
Conditions are very good.
