[VHFcontesting] New Years Eve on 222 MHz.

Remember that all the cool boys and girls all seem to get on 222 MHz. If 
you are not out carousing in Times Square or Lower Lisbon Street in 
Lewiston, Maine, then try to show up on 222.100 MHz and enjoy the SSB 
roundtable and fun that is sure to break out this evening on the 222 MHz 
band. You can wish a happy new year to all those cool boys and girls.   
If you want to try any DX that is very cool too, but stay away from 
222.100 and the festivities there.

There was a solar event that hit Earth at about 16:15 UT and the K index 
has jumped up to a 4 or 5. Not sure if it will go higher. I suspect not, 
but who knows. It is better to be aware than un aware!!  I will be QRV 
after 00:00 UT. Not sure how long I will last, but I hope to work a few 
of the cool kids. I have lots to be thankful for and lots to look 
forward to in 2025.  So try getting on 222 MHz and wish everyone a happy 
new year.
