[VHFcontesting] FT8 / Hardware / Software Weirdness

Yaesu FTdx10 radio

All,

Hope someone can help.

1. Logger32 + JTDX used to work fine, now does not.
     (preferred FT8 general operating environment).
2. As did Logger32 + WSJT, now does not.

3. As did WSJT stand-alone, now does not.
4. As did JTDX stand-alone, now does not.
5. N1MM + WSJT did not decode,
     now works fine with a quirk
     (preferred for FT8 contesting environment).

So, once [1 - 4] once worked fine; [5] did not decode.
Now [1 - 4] decode fine; but do not transmit; [5] works fine with quirk.

[WSJT and JTDX for the above tests are in five separate folders.]

[1 - 4] Basic settings are fine, and are same for all
     but [TUNE] does not work:
     Decodes are fine.
     [CAT] works - green.
     [PTT] turns on XMT.
     [AUDIO]
     Input:  Line    (USB AUDIO CODEC)
     Output: Speakers(USB AUDIO CODEC)
     [TUNE]  generates a tone ONLY
         if the radio MONITOR is set to about 80%,
         and the tone does not sound pure
         nor does it look pure on the band-scope.

[5] N1MM + WSJT: Sets radio mode to DATA-L, should be DATA-U.
     even WSJT stand-alone sets mode to DATA_U.


Radio off; Cold restart of PC; Radio On cycle does not help.

Enough information?
