I hope to be on tonight. The rig and xvereter are already in warm-up mode. Now I need to get my enthusiasm in warm-up mode. It's getting harder to be enthused to turn on the 222 station. It has been a long time since I added anything new to my WAS list. Apparently, hams with 222 capability in 5 needed states that are in meteor shower distance also suffer from enthusiasm, as I have not been able to schedule any attempts with them. Maybe my luck will change during one of the upcoming showers between now and the end of the year. Then there are those Rocky Mountain states ...... On the bright side I just added RI to my ever-growing 23cm list.

Propagation looks bleak for Tuesday evening unless you live between Chicago and Toronto (Tahrannah seems to be the proper pronunciation) The wintertime weather patterns are trying to set up and the chances for long haul contacts are getting slimmer. I have been spending no time on the radio other than Tuesday nights and a few Wednesdays for 432. The rest of my time us spent working on clearing debris from the hill and working on getting the old ten meter tower put back in shape. My plan is to combine 144 on top of the repaired ten meter Rohn 45. I will be on
222 MHz this evening for the weekly 222 MHz Activity night festivities.
The Moon conditions are good, but the Moon will not rise here until late, well after the activity makers are all in bed. In lunar news, W7JW got bored and modified his array by doubling its' size to eight yagis. I know that K5QE (SK) had eight yagis on 222 MHz, but now W7JW has an eight yagi array running all the time, which opens up great possibilities for stations with small antennas on 222 MHz. When I heard W7JW last off the Moon, it was obvious that he had improved things by a wide margin. He is very loud and is hearing very well.
If you do plan on getting on 222 for the evening, and you live outside the areas of high activity, please think about getting on the ON4KST Chat page to let people know that you are there and looking for contacts. Use the 144/432 Region 2 Chat page. I will be there shortly before 2300 UT and making noise on or around 222.100 MHz. Maybe we will get a new operator on to swell the ranks. W2KV has upped his power and is sounding great up here in Mumbo Jumbo land. I hope that K1HC makes an appearance again from FN53. The more who show up means more fun for all. CU tonight.
