Yes Girls and Boys, the 222 MHz activity night is here, with action that
starts around 23:00 UT or 7 PM Local time here in the East.  I am
planning to walk up to my shack and make some contacts. The temperature
is around 68  and it feels like Spring here in the North Country. I was
raking leaves and found that some of them are still frozen solid to the
ground in spots.  So we could use some more warm weather to thaw things
out.

I looked at the Hepburn map and actually saw a small bit of enhancement
from New York State over to Michigan. I am not sure if anything will
happen, but it is nice to see condx start to improve.  There is coastal
tropo in the SE and the Gulf.  The relative humidity here at my house is
up around 45%. During the cold months, I was seeing 15% humidity and my
guitar humidifier was slurping water at a great rate. With higher
humidity comes improved condx.

So get on 222.100 and look for signals. I will be in there trying.  Also
remember that next Tuesday is the 222 MHz Sprint. The Moon will be up,
so plan accordingly. I hope to try  a few EME attempts along with the
SSB and CW tropo stuff.  The FT8 mode is always active, especially
during sprints.

Don't forget to make use of chat pages if you are located far from
activity. It is a good way to let folks know that you are there looking
for ontacts. Many use ON4KST but many other areas of the country use VHF
Slack, Most EME is via HB9Q.
