Dave, et al

First, I read every one of your 222 Nite reminders and reports. Most of the
other messages on this group as well, but seem to really take to your
humour. Well done to keep the 222 fires burnin' OM.

I have very few of my 2m and 6m QSO's stored electronically, but one things
that's evident 95% of the time in my memory, is when I work 2m AU reeeally
far west. (K9MRI is usually about as far west as I can get on 2m AU), the
17B2 is usually just about due west to WSW (true bearing 255 deg) at
1000miles/1550-kms for me. I may have 1 or 2 W0 QSO's on AU, I just don't
recall, but know I've worked Joe a few times over the years. (always a
massive thrill for me)

About the only guys I work aimed due north or north east are
VO1's/VE1's/VE9's/VY2's..exceedingly rare these days as you might well
imagine.

piish piish (normally that would sound like dit dit, but since we're talkin'
'bout AU)
