Hi All -
I'm finally getting around to hooking up RTTY FSK to my FT1000D
using optocouplers.
Remembering all the comments on how hard the 4N33's were to find,
and substitutes like 4N32 were O.K., I trucked on down to my local
Radio Shack only to find they don't carry them in store now, they
have to be ordered!

I also couldn't find a 4 pin DIN plug to fit the RTTY conn. on
the 1000 (wonder what the MP and other rigs use?). So I turned to
my trusty Mouser Electronics catalogue, and found the plug and
4n33's. The 4n33 Mouser no. is 512-4N33, they are 30 cents each.
The plugs just in case anyone needs those are no. 17HR804, at 93
cents each.

I ordered by phone (1-800-346-6873), Mon - Fri 7AM to 8PM CTZ.
You can also use net at sales@mouser.com
I've used them a lot, same day shipping, no minimum order, and you
pay only actual ship charges.

Best 73,
