OK! you can stop telling me now. I have reproduced the problem. It is unique
to telnet (i.e. does not happen on local TNC), and, as one correspondent
pointed out, it could easily be that some versions of packet cluster telnet
exhibit the problem and others do not. However, the problem is in WL and not
in the cluster software.
