[WriteLog] WAV files

Guys, all these questions and answers are great, but as a green novice
at WL, I need some help.

I have been unable to locate software which will record the .wav file,
then allow me to edit it. Tried MixMan Pro and it gives me all sorts of
errors.

Would someone care to recommend software which doesn't take a rocket
scientist to use it, commercial or shareware?
