[WriteLog] sound card problem

Hi all,
Advice needed.

All of a sudden the audio output of my sound card (one channel 
only) is distorted. It's not the speaker, as I plugged headphones 
directly in the sound card ouput and same thing. Any ideas, 
besides blown chip on the sound card?
