Hi Barry,

I just tested networking my W2K Pro laptop with my NT4 workstation and had no problems at all. I used the shared WL file method described in the online help, in order to get the same settings for contest and exchange. I only use TCP/IP for networking but as the online help says,
"If you are a Windows networking guru, then you already know that you don't really need NetBEUI for WriteLog networking--TCP/IP and other protocols will work, but then you don't need to read these instructions, either."
You can use the DDESHARE command to check if the DDE resources WLOGNET and WLOGPKT has been created and you can also use it to connect to the other computer to check if the DDE resources exists on that
machine. Does the WriteLog Network Status windows give any clues ?
Can you share a drive/directory on one computer and do a NET USE on it from the other machine?
