[WriteLog] Connecting/Installation problems

Hello,
first I thank everybody who answered me about my email problems. Now I
know its working ok.
W7SI suggestion to get rid of my attachment, did solve the problem. Now
I can
send emails to the reflector.-
My problems with Writelog are, that I am not sure how to connect the
computer soundcard
with my rig (OMNI VI), because I am not able to print the help file.
There is also
a help file doc on the Writelog homepage. Unfortunately I canīt open it
with any Word
(different versions). There is always an errror message something like
"..path not found".
I donīt understand this error message at all.
It looks to me that one can simply connect the mike with the soundcard
input, and the 
soundcard output to the rig. If that is correct, should one use
isolation transformers
in each connection? In the moment I donīt dare to connect the computer
with the OMNI
because I am anxious to damage something. Some time ago a laptop serial
port was destroyed
by RF from the radio and this was quite expensive. So what happens if RF
gets on any of 
the cables. 
Any help would be much appeciated.
