Bill,
I am having the same symptom of the buffer (F2 in my case) occasionally
stopping before the full text is sent.  I recover with the escape key and it
does not happen very frequently.  I have not been able to reconstruct enough
information to find a pattern yet but it happens here with the mouse select
of the call sign and then the F2 select of the buffer.  I have not figured
out how to use the INSERT function yet :-))

This happened about 6 times in 1100 Qs in prior contests and once this
weekend in 160 Qs.  Not often and does not seem RF induced.
