Allan

I just purchased Writelog last week and have the latest version as of last
Tuesday. I worked several VO's and VX's during the 10 Meter Contest and it
logged them as VE's and Canada for multipliers, so it looks like the latest
version has this covered.

Subject: [WriteLog] Writelog and the RAC Canada Winter Contest

1. Non-Canadian Hams planning to operate in the Radio Amateurs of Canada
Winter Contest on Dec 29th, should check their "namedmul.ini" file for this
contest. Some earlier versions of WL show 12 multipliers only (there are
actually 13). This is a result of the addition of the new territory Nunavut
(VY0). An easy way to check this is to open the WL RAC Contest module and
click on "CONTEST - show multipliers", and count 'em - if there are only
twelve, then Nunavut is probably missing from the "namedmul.ini" file.

2. Also, there is another peculiarity this year. There will probably be a
number of Canadian Hams using "Strange prefixes" (i.e. VX for VE, VG for
VA,
XJ for VO and XK for VY) . I don't know how Writelog is going to accept
these. Will the "alias" list in "namedmul.ini" have to be modified to
recognize these ??? Perhaps one of you "Writelog Guru's" out there can
answer this question. Just for information: These special prefixes can be
used by all Canadian Hams from December 12,2001 to February 12, 2002, as
part of the Marconi Centennial commemorations.. they simply replace their
normal VE , VA etc, with the special prefixes.
