[WriteLog] Serial Port CW - Choppy CW?

Hello Everyone,

The only time I notice choppy cw or soundblaster sound hesitation is when I am
connecting to the internet through the telephone line. I also get the same
experience sometimes during an abrupt internet disconnection. I have a computer
with a Pentium II 350 running Windows 98.

I am interested in trying some SO2R and I am looking at the W5XD keyer/SO2R
box. My good friend Tom AE9B purchased one recently. Unfortunately, he had to
immediately send his back because apparently a component was defective.
Recently, I was over at his house for a demonstration and it seems very
interesting. However, one experience that scares me is that Tom tells me that
it locks up once in a while. It did it at least once when I was there. He had
to turn it "off" and then "on" again to get it to function properly again. I do
not know what the problem is but I do not want it doing that during a contest.

Happy Holidays,

Dave KG0US
