Every new piece of software is a challenge with the OMNI VI+

In Writelog, all the rig controls work very well, but the screen response to
a frequency change was V E R Y slow, the Bandmap indicator would jump on the
scale.....
After trying all combo's of baud rate, poll rates and settings, I turned off
CdE (continuous Data Echo)
Voila'  smooth tuning indicators.  This is strange because CdE returns rig
data to the computer...

In Logic5 with CdE off, the radio does not report frequency changes to the
log and the on screen frequency display stays on the last logged frequency.
Also, I still get timeouts on split spots or selecting A or B VFO.
I would like to use one rig setting for both software packages.

Any TT owners have a solution?
