[WriteLog] Sound Card Demodulation questions

Randy, you brought up one of my highest priorities for the the Writelog
"wish list" - the ability to scroll back in the RTTY window. Even better
would be to have separate scrolling windows for "normal" and "Wide Band
Decode" . The problem was especially acute this past weekend when we did
the ARRL RTTY Roundup using my notebook computer. It is limited to 800x600
max resolution and we can only put so much on the screen at one time. I
opted for minimal (3 lines) edit (history) window, a large font entry window
and the rest of the vertical space filled with RTTY window. That proved to
be minimally acceptable and we often found ourselves cussing when critical
data or calls of stations in our run pileup scrolled off the screen.

Also desirable would be printing always on the same line and the text
scrolls up in the window from there. We found it very difficult to keep
searching for the current print position so we could click the cursor on a
callsign or report. It would be MUCH easier if the current print line
remained fixed so you could easily find the call/report and click on it.
The wide band decode line works this way, EXCEPT you can't click on a call
in there as I recall...

The ability to scroll back in the RTTY Window is even more important if you
try to use Writelog for casual RTTY operating. I know Writelog is primarily
a contest logger (and a damn good one!), but it sure is convenient to have
just one RTTY logging program.

In my humble opinion the ability to scroll back in the RTTY window would
dramatically improve operator efficiency while simultaneously reducing eye
strain, stress and fatigue.

73,
Ron N6EE

P.S. Congratulations on a fantastic score! It boggles my mind that you made
eight HUNDRED more Q's than we did at NN6NN... amazing!
