That is correct.  There are three modes to use for standard QSOs.  CW, Phone(SSB, AM, FM), and Digital(PSK31, RTTY).  You get the 2 points for each digital or CW, and 1 point phone.  So if you work the same staion on PSK and RTTY on the same band you only get yer 2 points.
