[WriteLog] IF Filters for the IC-746

Are the IF filters worth the investment for the IC-746.  I'm considering the
9MHz 500Hz narrow and / or the 455kHz 500Hz for use with RTTY.  Any
suggestions recommendations.  I'm a casual contester and so far the pass
band has done Ok for me.  Can I expect more with the filters?  Also is one
better than the other or should I consider both?
