[WriteLog] RTTY Sprint

I think we only did this contest once or twice? I remember starting on
20M and keeping the 2nd radio on 40M. It's pretty much a single radio
contest for at least the first hour or hour and a half. As 20 slows on
the East Coast, I start hearing them on 40M. At that time, working a
station on 40 constitutes as a QSY, so you can go right back to the
frequency you used on 20M.

The rules are not specific on this, but I am venturing to guess that
you could alternate CQ's on 40 and 20, but CQ'ing doesn't necessarily
help you as much as you might think. CQ'ing on one band and finding
a station to call on another band is a good idea.

Things were happening so fast last year that I don't really remember
many details. I'd have to look at the log, but I don't think there was
much on 80 if anything.

One thing is clear, an SO2R operator has a big advantage in this contest.
Jay, WS7I, was kicking my butt pretty good last year until stations started
going to 40M. With the 2nd radio, I was able to pull away once a 2nd
band became active and Jay was only using one radio. By alternating
contacts on two bands, you are not so much burdened by the QSY rule
and you can operate more efficiently.

P.S. For you duck hunters out there, I've added a duck page on my website.
It's under construction, so check back often for more pictures as I just bought
a new HP Scanner that works great!!!!!! http://www.geocities.com/aa5au
