I have noticed this too. In spite of running all of the Norton System
Utilities to keep the system clean of faults and regular defragging of the
drives, I am convinced that the system does run slower than it used to. I
often wonder if it is caused by a devious feature put in there by the
hardware (or software?) manufacturer to make us buy a new machine every few
years!
