  1) When you start Writelog in e.g. CQWW SSB, Writelog starts in 1800 LSB
mode. It is also starting there, if you restart the same log. Is it possible
to tell Writelog, that it MUST start in the mode and frequency where the
latest QSO where worked?

This does not occur when radio control is done through a serial port. With
radio control, WriteLog will come up with the band and mode the radio is in
at startup and follow it through the course of the contest.

  2) When I work XP1AB in the log, it tells me that is is in CQ Zone 14 and
country = Denmark. As I have told K5DJ earlier XP1AB is Greenland (OX). I
know that I have to change the country file, but will tell the other ers
that XP1AB is Greenland? Do you send out an updated country file? Do you
tell the Writelog mailing list? Or should I do that?

WriteLog uses the CTY file, the same as used by CT, and if the CTY file is
wrong, so will WriteLog. Usually an updated country file comes out before CQ
WW SSB, but that is up to the people who maintain that file. It's important
to remember that after downloading the latest CTY country file (or modifying
it yourself) you need to also run 'convert CTY to WriteLog' found in the
Start|Program menu where you have placed WriteLog. This does the conversion
so that WriteLog understands the country file and adds in the additional
functionality WriteLog provides.

If XP is not in the CTY file, other users won't know about it. I see from
the reflector that AD1C will be adding it to the file, so you should be OK.

  3) You have worked a QSO mentionen in No 2 and after logging you see that
the QSO is in wrong country. How do you change the country? I have tried to
put in the call sign (or the prefix) into the country file and I have tried
to change the country directly in the log. Both solutions without success.

I changed it by modifying the log directly in WriteLog. You need to change
the 'Prefix' column to the prefix for the correct country and also check
and, if necessary, change the zone.

  4) If you in a network by accident give 2 laptops the same letter in
Setup, link to network, how can you see which PC is sending the network
information? Can you avoid this problem?

Any computer in the world will be confused by the same identification.
Don't use the same letters and it won't be a problem .

  5) If you in a network give 2 laptops the same network display name, can
that make some disturbances during the logging? If you how do you
solve/avoid that?

No, it won't. WriteLog uses the Letter designation that identifies the
computer (hence, make sure THEY are unique...) in the log. Having the same
display name will simply confuse all the users, not the log.... ;>)
