Dave I'm going to respond to reflector also just to remind people about heat
in their computers. Hope you don't mind.
I've a been doing a bit of computer building the past few years.
If your still using the old power supply:
I'd seriously try swapping to a bigger power supply.
I've seen this same problem mentioned on the newsgroups.
some power supplies are right on the edge, current wise.

And heat could be the factor also.
Are the PS vents clogged with dust?
I blow mine out almost weekly.
Unbelievable how much dust can accumulate.
