Can't see what the problem is guys.

i.e. When you contact a station who you've worked previously,
the serial number from the earlier contact with said station is
displayed in the RCVD field.

This is merely alerting you to the fact that the new serial number
should have incremented since your last QSO with the guy.

What is so difficult about typing the serial number into the RCVD field?

I happen to think SM6SRW has done a great job in writing modules for
some of the less popular RTTY contests.

It is sometimes up to the individual to adapt to new methods of logging,
whether that is clicking a mouse button or using your fingers and =
typing.
