[WriteLog] Computer hardware question

Setting up a new computer involves a lot of time and usually money.
Consider that the current minimum configuration is 1gig. processor speed,
20gb. HD, 128meg memory, fast video, USB, etc.

Before you go to the trouble of setting up a new computer you should ask
yourself what you are going to use it for.......
Games, video processing, database management, Word, Excell, networking,
Internet surfing, music, CD burning, SSTV, PSK, antenna modeling?
If all you are going to use the Gateway for is a dozen contests a year, then
go for it.
Software is resource hungry.  DOS is gasping its last breaths.

You want to be in the position of fitting the machine to your requirements
not the other way around.
