I have two operating positions with a monitor at each but just one
computer.  Instead of trying to find a dual monitor card or adding a
second monitor card I use what is called a VGA multiplier.  Supports both
SVGA and older VGA.   This is used mainly in classroom training and you
can find 4 or 8 VGA position multipliers and they can be daisychained up
to 32.

I have a 17" at the main position and a 15" at my low band position. 
Both can be up at the same time.
