I have a home-brew Icom CIV cable that works and a home-brew keyer interface 
that works but, when I try to hook them together at the same serial port, I 
cannot get the two of them to work at the same time.

Could someone point me in the direction of a pair that will together off the 
same serial port.  Rig is 756Pro.
