Hi, Scott,

That did the trick. Works fine now. Thanks so much for your help.

I hope to be in a location soon where I can use the Internet DXTelnet =
again. We have been in the boonies as far as phone service is concerned. =
I'm lucky if I can maintain a connection at 28.8 on a 56K modem. PacBell =
sez digital service in maybe 3 to 5 years. We are on Palomar Mountain =
and about 20 miles from nearest DSL opportunity. HI!

Will be hitching up the mobile hacienda and heading for Oregon in the =
spring, hopefully a block from US West equipment building! Seriously, =
close enough for DSL or Cable Modem service.

73,

Dave K7JJ

  Hi Dave,

That's exactly correct; to use the PK-232 you have to remove the =
Object line in WriteLog.ini. You only use it for DXTelnet. Just put a =
';' in front of the line and it will be ignored.

Sorry Scott, but I already had that line in the writelog.ini. =
Although I am a subscriber to DXTelnet, I was trying to use the PK232 =
for my packet tu. It worked before. I'll have to dig deeper in to this, =
perhaps I need to remove the DXtelnet

    Thanks for your help,

    Dave

      Hi Dave,

This is a setup problem when you are using DXTelnet with WriteLog. =
The part you are missing appears to be this, which needs to be added to =
the WriteLog.ini file:

      Add following two lines:
      [OBJECTS]
      pktObject=3DDXT2WL.clsWlPacket

The complete instructions are in the DX Telnet files shipped with =
the program, or on the web at: =
http://www.albany.net/~bg/WriteLog/WLdxTelnet.htm=20

      Hope this does it!

Hi! I have found a problem I can't resolve looking over the =
manual or the reflector archives. Anyone got a resolution for this?=20

I am receiving the following alert message when I try to launch =
the packet window.

"Can't create packet OLE Automation Object"
