Hi Randy -

I agree that the drive should not matter.  I've never had a problem before 
installing applications on my non-boot drive and perhaps you are right about 
the reinstall.  Whatever it is, I'm just glad it's working right now.

Sometime, I'll recreate the original installation and see what happens.
