Not so sure... maybe a built in NIC port would be a better idea... or
ideally, a fibre connection... but don't hold your breath. For low speed,
long cables and RF immunity... the COM ports are pretty good. Anyway, rig
control isn't the problem... it's remote antenna switches and the like that
will pose a problem without the multiple lines available in an LPT port.
It's already being addressed by "smart" electronics like WX0B's smart switch
interface... but such solutions are more complex (read "costs more" ;-) ).
