Nope, that wasn't it, but I appreciate the thought.  I do have it installed
in the default directory.

I'm not sure what actually fixed it, but I uninstalled writelog,  userport,
dlportio and anything else I could think of.

I then re-installed from scratch, including looking through the registry and
deleting everything there.

Still no joy.  I then edited the Writelog.ini file and deleted everything
with lpt1:, etc, and retested (after installing userport again).

Now, it seems to work, but no well enough to use it.  The CW is choppy.
When I test it under N1MM Logger, the CW is clean.

Weird...
