[WriteLog] Using the Sound Card

I operate some SSB contests with the HC-4 and Sound Blaster PCI 128 card.
By playing around with various sound card settings I'm able to get
sufficient volume out of this combo to drive an IC775. I think the radio
and souncard are critical variables which might explain why a few have
problems and others so not.
Of course you could use the cheap computer mic to record the messages and
then the HC-4 for the "live audio" during the contest. Depending on the
nature of the problem (i.e., if you are saying the HC-4 also has low
volume not just on record but at all times when connected to the
computer) it might take a Y adapter to plug two mics into the Heil
adapter.
