callsigns out of the noise from the bathroom fan.

I hear this often when CQing during a RTTY contest.  In fact, when the
band appears to be dead, I rotate the beam and listen for the echo, so
I can tell where the band is open to.  It's not a long echo, just a
"tink" sound, but it's definitely there.
