the K9JY website, and in the WriteLog Help section.  A quick search of the Help file with the "find" tab on the index page for the
term "com" will bring up the page with the WriteLog.INI [PORTS] description, where you will find the answer to your question.

   I hope you don't misinterpret this as a flippant response to your question.  WriteLog is a sophisticated and complex software
tool with some peculiarities as well.  It is important to learn not only how to use the software, but also how to search these three
valuable sources of information for assistance.  This is especially true right before a contest, when one doesn't have the luxury of
waiting for someone else to pen a response to a request for help.
