Wayne,

The most likely issue is that you need to feed audio from your sound card 
Line Out to the Patch input on the FT1000mp. You can not use the same AFSK 
pin on the Packet connector. It is cut off in SSB mode. Just like the 
Microphone is cut off in Packet mode. Either use the Patch input or the 
Microphone connector.

The other issue is to make sure that Writelog is in SSB mode also. If you 
are hearing the wave files in the speakers then I would guess this is not a 
problem.
