Alan,
Yes, this problem has appeared. I used 1.63 during contests in December and
several of us had this problem. I put a "space" character at the head of
each message for the Roundup. I did not see any junk characters. I also did
one other thing that might have also corrected the problem. There is a new
"echo" feature that loops back the keystrokes. I set that to the old way
rather than the default.
