TRICKY!  Assuming you're using MMTTY with WL, go to the Rttyrite Window, TU
Type, TNC Setup and uncheck the "Show control buttons" box.  Close that
dialog - Everything looks the same, like it didn't work, right?  Close WL
and then restart it, and VOILA! - The control buttons are gone.

(Actually, you don't need to close and restart WL - just the Rttyrite window
(and thus MMTTY plugin).

I have to ask though - Why wouldn't you want the control buttons??
