[WriteLog] Free form entry for SS

Has anyone played around with free form entry and SS yet?

I did a little last night.  I turned on the "free form entry", but when I type a callsign (first, right?  you need to do a dupe check before you S&P someone), it wants to turn the call into a QSO number!!!  How does one enter a call, then do free form for the rest of the report?  Tab or mouse over to the free form field? 

Someone else mess with this for SS yet?  Am I doing something wrong?  It DOES seem to work if you type a call, then press INS to send the exchange.  If you do that, then it populates the Call field properly, then allows you to enter the rest "free form", with the exception of the mandatory 3 digit QSO number.  Oh, you didn't know that?  Seems like you MUST enter the QSO number as a 3 digit number, (or maybe a 1 digit number might work) or else it gets confused as the check.

This free form thing can be great...once it gets working right, or someone explains how to properly use it.  Anyone know how?
