Michael,

You need to make sure WL has the namedmul.ini file available. You can get
the latest one (16 Mar 2004) from the writelog download page. This has the
CA multiplier names. Read the list of mult names so you're familiar with
the abbreviations. (click on Contests / ShowMultipliers)

Make sure you start the correct version of CQP (out-of-state) .. otherwise
mult names are states, not counties (in-state version).

There is room for four county names for any QSO. You only need one, but
you will find an occasional station sitting on a county line. Then enter
two, three, or even four county names as given in the exchange.

I'm looking for a county line QTH for myself, but not sure if I can find
such a place .. without having to operate from a boat ;-)
