For the WL skills, consider using WL's General DXCC 'contest' as your 
regular logging program.

It obviously isn't as fully-featured as a specialist non-contest logger, 
but by using WL all the time you will be training the correct reflexes 
that you'll need when using WL for contesting. It also gives you plenty 
of time to 'tune' your setup and test everything (well, almost 
everything, except the contest-specific details of the Fkey messages).

For QSL management etc, I periodically export the WL log via ADIF to a 
non-contest logging program.
