I had a similar problem trying to get MMTTY to use Com4.  WriteLog used
Com4 ok for CW keying and my external modem worked there too, but MMTTY
stubbornly refused.  I moved MMTTY to Com2 and all was well.  I know
this isn't a real fix, but it did solve the problem.  Someday I will get
around to trying to ascertain the true cause of the difficulty.
