OK, well it appears WriteLog may not do what I want it to do. Which seems
strange since you
can do it with FSK as John says. It may be possible to do with using the
Rttyrite window in CW
but I prefer the CW decoder.
Well, it's not much to switch it back to 2 PC's. I did well with it that way in
SS CW, but was
thinking it could be done with a COM assigned to CW for each rig with external
switching.
There was one suggestion that didn't make it to the reflector and I had thought
about this, was
to parallel the CW keying from a single COM port to each rig. It works if you
command PTT with
radio control, but I'm not comfortable with it.
OK, thanks to all that replied. Maybe Wayne can someday work that into the
program. You can do it with FSK,
so it can't be that hard to make it work for CW too.
Hope to put in a few hours of NAQP CW. CU there.

I doubt that's true - It sure isn't true for FSK RTTY, which uses the TxD line
for SHIFT. Using DTR for CW is analogous. Writelog provides a lockout feature
to ensure that 2 signals are not transmitted at the same time.
When you do CW in the Rttyrite windows, the Rttyyrite Port menu item control
which radio gets the PTT signal, but I'm not sure about the DTR CW signal.

Don,
Generally speaking, you need to use an external switching device to move the
CW keying from one radio to another.
Since you can only transmit on one radio at a time, this logic is
appropriate.
There are several devices commercially available (W5XD, TopTen, ZS4TX, etc.)
or you can homebrew one.
