Well Done Scott if it hadn't been for your site and the guys here I'd still
be using paper and pencil for contests

Cheers

Subject: [WriteLog] K9JY WriteLog Website Update - March, 2004

All,

I have completely updated the K9JY WriteLog user website. When the website
got to 50,000 hits (thank you all), I decided it was time to get a bit
serious about what the content was on the site. Here are the updates:

- Complete update to 10.45(M) WriteLog version for content and
screen shots

- Complete update to Windows XP, including screen shots

- Ability to download a Microsoft Word document for the Getting
Started, Universal Setup, and Two-Radio Contesting sections. I may add other
sections later, but its labor to copy and paste sections into a Word
document as well as maintain the site. If you want certain sections
available as a Word document, let me know and I'll go by demand.

- Complete revision of the WriteLog INI section. It is now organized
by subject so that one can see all WriteLog INI entries, regardless of file
section, for CW, RTTY, etc.

- Modified the WriteLog Contest section. Rather than trying to
maintain the dates and rules links for 90(!) contests WriteLog supports,
I've listed the currently supported contests and referred people to Bruce
Horns, WA7BNM, contest calendar, including the link to each contests rules.

- Completely new (but similar) look and feel for the site. I got
bored with the colors, what can I say?

For those many new users of WriteLog, my site is dedicated to how a
contester would use the program to reach the contester's goals. It is
especially oriented to contest setup as this is the area where most
contesters can use some help. Many of the common questions asked on the
Reflector could be answered by utilizing the site, especially the Getting
Started, Universal Setup, Operating a Contest, and Post Contest sections.

Thanks for all of the feedback on the site over the years. I really
appreciate the kind words and areas needed for improvement. It's how we make
things better. Here's the URL: http://www.k9jy.com
