[WriteLog] Checklists for sound card setup

I made two little checklists for setting up my Windows XP computer 
sound cards for SSB and RTTY before each contest. Maybe some of you 
will find them of value as a basis for your own procedures.

SSB:
1. Right-click speaker icon in lower right of taskbar.
2. Select "adjust audio properties."
3. On Audio tab, select SoundBlaster as default card for record and 
playback. Apply.
4. Open volume controls for recording and playback, and leave them
on-screen.
5. On record, enable only mic, set at max volume.
6. On playback, enable only mic, wave, master.
7. On playback volume: mic-max, master,wave- 1 notch down from max.
8. On playback/mic/advanced, enable 20dB boost.
9. Connect Heil mic to SoundBlaster mic input.
10. Connect special Y-cable (100k resistor in series) from 
SoundBlaster spkr out to mic input of both TS-850's.
11. Start Writelog.
12. WL/tools/sound board, enable "echo microphone."
13. WL/setup/ports select com PTT "NO." (all vox operation).
14. Hit shift-F2 to make an F2 recording, esc to stop.
15. Fiddle with volume controls to equalize live mic, recorded wave.


RTTY(FSK):
1. Right-click speaker icon in lower right of taskbar.
2. Select "adjust audio properties."
3. On Audio tab, select nVidia on-board sound as default card for 
record and playback. Apply.
4. Open volume controls for recording and playback.
5. On record, enable only line in, set at max volume.
6. On playback, disable everything.
7. Connect rtty Y-cable from speaker outputs of TS-850's to line in of
on-board sound.
8. Start Writelog.
9. WL/setup/ports select com PTT "YES."
10. In MMTTY/options/setup/misc, nVidia is device 1. Set rig 1 on 
LEFT, rig 2 on RIGHT.
