[WriteLog] modifying contest files?

Hi all,

Is it possible or even feasible to do the following:
 
1. Take a contest .dat file that has the same exchange parameters of the one
that you are trying to make, copy it to a new new.
 
2. Take the .ini file associated with it and modify it to the correct
parameters of the contest multipliers you are trying to make?
 
My earlier query on the NH QSO (BTW - WHERE are they ???) thought I could
take an alike QSO party and copy it, change the multipliers (in this case it
is the counties), and then try it.
 
I am hesitant to try it out right now as I don't wish to reload WL if it
craps out. I was just wondering if anyone has played with this or if it will
even work.
