[WriteLog] File Merge Solutions

I thought I would put this into the archives, as it comes up now and
then. As background, the latest questions involved a M/2 entry that was
logged on two separate, unlinked, computers. The objective was to
produce one merged log, time ordered, with the transmitters identified
separately, and scored and in Cabrillo format for DX rather than
stateside. WL's 'merge' function sets up a pseudo-network when merging
logs. My experience with 'merge' has not been good - it crashes as
often as it works for me. Fortunately, there is 'import' which, for
me, has worked every time I have used it.

Steps:

1.	Open writelog.ini on the computer you are building the log on,
and under [Multipliers] make sure CallPrefix=XXXX is set to where you
want the log to come from. If this is set to a stateside prefix, WL
will score as if you are stateside and produce a Cabrillo log as if you
are stateside. If you were DX, use the DX callsign.
2.	Open the first log, and check under Radio, This Window is Run
(A) Radio. Save the log in .WL format and save the log in .ADI format.
3.	Open the second log. Under Radio, check This Window is Mult (B)
Radio. Save this log in .WL format and again in .ADI format.
4.	With the second log still open, import the .ADI file of the
first log. (File/Import)
5.	Under Edit, click Reorder QSOs by time. Also, under Contest,
click recalculate score.
6.	You are now all set and can create your Cabrillo log as usual.
Save this merged log under a new name. The log will be properly scored
and the Cabrillo file will be correct.
