Hi Nick,

when I set up my new computer, which had NO serial ports I faced that same
problem.
I am using an EdgePort/8 that is 8 COM ports from USB.
Has it's own driver and works just fine.
I use it for 2 radios in SO2R as well as for the FSK keying of those rigs.
Haven't done that much RTTY, so don't know if there are any subtle problems
but it functions fine.

Subject: [WriteLog] W5XD keyer via usb to serial adapter cw keying delay

Has anyone had any luck using W5XD keyer via usb to serial adapter? I
have tried few different brands found in the computer shops without any
luck so far.
The problem is with CW keying. There is a almost one second delay every
time CW message is sent out. You hit the keyboard key and after about
one second Writelog starts sending CW out. Everything else works just
fine such as SO2R functions, CAT control etc.
Any advice would be appreciated.
